Sun! Flowers! Music! NOW

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

AND SUN.

Yes. It's Friday 6:30 p.m. and the clouds have finally broken. PERFECT timing waterlogged friends.

There's is a quintessential good weather event going on right now, till 8 p.m., and then again tomorrow, 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. A perfect hat an glove event I might add.

See those little flower flags along the city streets? Those indicate homes taking part in the South Church Pocket Garden Tour.

Each location offers the walk-about, live music or visual artist on sight - and cookies!! You'll be working those calories off walking about so enjoy!

Tonight you can find Ray DeMarco on the keyboards (see photo) at one location and at another you can catch Sarah Bauhan on flute and Emma Clarkson on violin together.

So stop reading and go, go, go!

Festival Food, Mood and Free Music

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

It's already noon. Have you gotten your Square on today?
Earlier this a.m. St. Nicolas Greek Orthodox Church, along with the Boy Scouts were already heating up the food court.

Folks were already millin' already buyin' already donning balloon hats.

Good times folks, Good times. And lots o' free music and dance.

So slather the sunscreen and go get your Square on!

Yours in the love of Free Art!

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

Right here - this cheesy-dog photo of me - it says it all.

Just sharing a moment from my past week; a special one in my life; THE Dave Gerard, (Savoy Truffle), in G Lady's kitchen where he PERFORMED, right here among the plants, for yours truly and DC, G Lady's intrepid videographer and all of you.

Be. Still. My. Heart.

The picture says it all, say no more, say no more.

DC will post a video of the event in two weeks. You can just click on the G. Lady video link (brown and orange photo of GL to the right - could be better, but alas, the hatted-one had no say in the color selections). Till then check out some of the other segments, Portsmouth High School Marching Band, Al Barr from Drop Kick Murphys, Joe Queer, of The Queers, Pontine Movement Theatre - all folks from your community!

Yours in true gratitude for incredible perks,

Gossip Lady

PS: See Dave for yourself: Three Chimneys Terrace, Durham, June 19, or Tupelo Music Hall, Londonderry, June 26, 8 p.m. more at: www.gerardtruffle.com/

Tuba-rrific

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

Once again G Lady asks you - even if you don't know someone in this video - take the time to look! These dedicated young musicians do a heart good! (Click HERE).

Carrying that tuba around might be a little rough on the hear, (it weights a bloody ton)! But listening to these kids talk about their art and then play? Makes one soar.

You know that experience where you go to a museum or a play, or a concert and you're so inspired you can't wait to get back to the creative process? That's what these kids did for G Lady I bet if you take the time to watch it, it will do it for you too. It's all that PASSION; (not to mention the great hats).

Yours in the love of inspiration

FLUB-UP ALERT

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

Well G Lady flubbed a posting. The latest post is listed below as May 15, rather than in this spot.

I'm putting this notice in because it's NOT TO BE MISSED! You just have to check out the incredible photos from a Green Foundry casting event I attended, at Sanctuary Arts.

So, scroll it on down G Lovers and get an eye full of hot stuff: liquid iron and men and women in leather. - Tell me what you think!

Sassy Moms & Those that Love Them

Greetings Gossip Lovers,

Amy Palmer and I may not share the neat gene, (wait till you see how spotless this woman's home and art studio!), but the one for irreverence? Most definitely. And that is why I find her booze swigging, chain-smoking, lost-looking moms hilarious.

I sometimes wonder if those people horrified by Amy's warped sense of humor are harboring a real affinity for or are too similar to these characters. Hum. Things to ponder.

While I do that, why don't you click here, and check out the memorable visit DC (intrepid videographer) and G Lady made to the New Castle painter's home. We checked out her widely different forms of art and her hysterically funny and terribly irreverent new book on motherhood.

Oh, and drop back in soon. I PROMISE to post the most incredible group of photos taken during a recent Green Foundry pouring. Truly marvelous.

Yours in the love of arts
